Valley Distributing and Storage Company is a privately owned, asset based Third Party Logistics Provider located in both the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton Pennsylvania area. Valley offers services to meet customers' individual needs. With over 2 million square feet and 50 years of experience, Valley provides cost effective, convenient, reliable service.

History

In 1953, shoppers traveled to downtown Wilkes-Barre on the trolley and often could not carry their packages home. John J. Passan, with one truck, picked up and delivered these parcels from some of the finest stores in Wilkes-Barre. This was the beginning of City Delivery Service. In 1954, Mr. Passan, with innovation and hard work, evolved into the warehouse and distribution business and started Valley Distributing & Storage Company on Bennett Street in Wilkes-Barre. In 2006, there was a change in the name of City Delivery Service to CDS transportation to reflect the regional reach of 300 miles.

Today, Valley Distributing & Storage Company owns and manages over two million square feet in Wilkes-Barre, Laflin, and Scranton. Mr. Passan remains the president and owner of the companies.
